The Year of the Renovation! 

 

This past year I purchased my first home. I have lived in my parents’ home, in the basement for 28 years! It was great because I saved a ton but it was gross. Not a space to live in.  

 

When I found my home I knew it needed work. My idea was a risk because not only could my wallet do it but could "we" do it? Everyone chipped in when the renovation started. I can see potential right away. I knew I loved the neighborhood and could make it my own.

 

The renovation took 12 weeks. I subbed out certain projects that we couldn’t do such as tile, stone, hardwood, wood work and plumbing. We did everything else. WE. Who are we? My father, my boyfriend, my best friends, my father’s best friends and family. I am so very grateful for everyone and what they did for me. It’s hard to find people that willing put themselves through pain and suffering for weeks.
