Baby Carroll Gender Reveal Party!
Finding out the sex of your baby is super exciting. Back in the day not many people found out the sex of the baby but rather waited for the surprise. After having the ultimate surprise this year we decided we wanted to know what Baby Carroll was going to be. Gender reveal parties are the new thing to do, so of course I wanted to do one with all our friends and family.
From the moment I found out I was pregnant I knew I was having a boy. I am such a girly girl that having a little boy was frightening to me. What do you do with boys?!?!? So I hoped and prayed to have a little girl. Someone I could dress up and pass on all my knowledge of makeup, clothes and womanly wisdom too.
My soon to be sister-in-law helped plan our gender reveal party. The theme was Touchdowns or Tutus. She put everything together; food, and decorations and even got Rob’s parents’ house all setup for the day. My mom got a 3 foot wide balloon to pop and I picked up a cake.

We all gathered in the backyard, I popped the balloon and out came blue confetti. It’s a boy! I think the picture says everything.

I don’t recommend doing a gender reveal unless you are 100% okay with either gender. All that matters is the baby is healthy, bottom line. It took me a day or two to get over the initial shock of not having my real life baby doll. Now I am over the moon ecstatic to have a son. I will get to teach this little boy how to become a respectable, responsible and caring gentleman. I will get to see the bond between Father and Son and feel the bond between Mother and Son. And if one day he does decide he wants to know how to contour or what shoes go with what outfit I will be there to help.
I think the most exciting thing about having a boy is he will definitely pull me out of my comfort zone. Bring on the bugs, dirt and high energy!
Robert Colton Carroll aka Colton, we love you already!
