Our Wedding Story!

Planning a wedding is a very hard thing to do without help. Try doing it in a rush is crazy. Rob and I were engaged Christmas Day 2016. I started planning the wedding February 2017 and picked a date of February 24, 2018. Finding out we were expecting in March 2018, two weeks prior to our scheduled wedding date, we decided things needed to be adjusted. The idea of being 9 months pregnant at my black tie wedding just wasn’t enjoyable.
We had already chose and paid for the venue, flowers, band, photographer, photo booth, hotel rooms, save-the-dates, invitations, my wedding gown and much more. Basically the wedding was done. So knowing that all this either needed to be cancelled or changed somehow was was daunting to me. At first I was extremely disappointed. So after much debate we decided to push the big back tie wedding to February 2019 and get married in November 2017. We wanted to be married before Colton arrives.
As you can imagine changing all of these details and coming up with new details is not only stressful but it was all out terrible. I had always hoped planning my wedding would be a fun crazy time. It went from everything’s done except odds and ends to we’re back that the starting line. I would say the hardest part was taking something that can take over a year to plan and make it happen in less than 4 months. But we did it!
We finished our classes at Our Lady of Peace Church with father Hand well in advance and we even got to write love letters to each other. Ridley Rainbow Florist had to make a few minor adjustments but the flowers came out beautifully. Shannon Bowden who was our photographer was absolutely fabulous, I will recommend her to anyone looking for photos. Brooke and I made centerpieces for the wedding dinner we had at our favorite restaurant Giuseppe’s in Edgemont, PA. Well Brooke made them I bought the flowers and assisted when needed. The dinner was delicious and very accommodating. Bijou bridal of Ardmore was extremely helpful when it came to redesigning my gown. The seamstress took the gown apart, let it out to make room for the bump and put it back together. The best part about this, is it will be able to go back to the original design come 2019!
The most amazing part, all of our family were still able to make it on this very special day. We didn’t invite all of our friends because that would be close to 100 people and since we are still having the big wedding in 2019 we wanted this day to be very intimate. It was just perfect. Absolutely the most amazing day ever!!
